Eye Drop Tutorial

This is an instructional video on how to self-administer eye drops. You may have been advised by your healthcare practitioner to administer eye drops, and this video includes technical advice which may help you. Important Steps for How to Use Eye Drops

  1. Wash Your hands
  2. Check the expiration date of the eye drops
  3. Make sure you're putting the correct drops into the correct eye at the correct time
  4. Shake the eye drops
  5. Remove the cap (place on a clean surface)
  6. Pull down lower eyelid
  7. Tilt head back and look upward while dropping 1 eye drop into the eye
  8. Close the eyes and occlude drainage canal for 30 seconds
  9. Recap eye drop bottle
