New Programme for Training in Medical Ophthalmology

The new programme for training in Medical Ophthalmology will commence in July 2015.

The programme consists of 3 x 6 months modules (total 1.5 years) in general medical ophthalmology, with each module having a sub-specialty component in the areas of Glaucoma, Medical Retina and Paediatrics.

To be eligible to apply candidates must have passed the MRCSI exam and completed a minimum of 2.5 years of core (basic) specialty training in ophthalmology.
