Mr John Lee

The College wishes to express our sympathy to the family of John Lee, President of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists on his sudden death on October 8th. John was a great friend of the ICO and personally to many of Ireland's ophthalmologists who benefitted from his advice as a colleague and his teaching down through the years.

John was due to deliver this year's Montgomery Lecture in Trinity College on Friday November 5th. As a mark of respect the lecture will not be held in 2010. The Montgomery Medal will be presented to John's Family on behalf of the College at a future date.
