RCPI Certificate in Traffic Medicine - 13 November 2015

The National Programme Office for Traffic Medicine (NPOTM), a joint initiative between the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) and the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has developed a Certificate in Traffic Medicine for doctors and other healthcare professionals.
The course is delivered in a blended learning format which consists of a number of online modules, a one day workshop and a multiple choice examination. The course will introduce participants to the concepts of traffic medicine, the philosophy of driver behaviour and will give them a knowledge and understanding of a thorough assessment of fitness to drive.

Online: RCPI Moodle, Workshop: RCPI, No. 6 Kildare Street, Dublin 2 ü Module One focuses on the theoretical concepts and ideas and can be completed at your convenience at any time online. Completion of Module One is mandatory prior to attending the workshop. ü Module Two, the one-day workshop, will focus on the practical skills and complex decisions involved in assessing medical fitness to drive. It will be integrated with case-based discussions and problem-solving sessions. ü Following completion of both Module One and Module Two your online assessment will become available. |
