James O'Reilly is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon. He is on the Register of Medical Specialists in the division of Ophthalmic Surgery, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, a Diplomate of the European Board of Ophthalmology and a Member of both the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Mr O'Reilly subspecialised in Corneal Transplantation and Anterior Segment Reconstruction at the world renowned Coreoplastic Unit in East Grinstead in the UK. This was the site of the first Eye Bank in the UK and remains one of the world's leading Corneal and Anterior Segment Eye Surgery Units. Since his appointment as a consultant in 2003 Mr. O'Reilly has built a solid reputation based on surgical skill, good communication and personal patient care before, during and after the day of surgery. His main areas of interest are: Cataract Surgery, Corneal Conditions, and Age Related Macular Degeneration.
